Umzumbe Municipality Internship Programme 2025 – 24-Month Opportunities for Unemployed Graduates

Umzumbe Municipality is calling on unemployed graduates to apply for its 2025 Internship Programme, designed to provide 24 months of valuable experiential training. This initiative offers young individuals an opportunity to develop their professional skills while contributing meaningfully to their community.

Stipend: R5,000.00 per month

Minimum Requirements

  • A completed 3-year Diploma or 3–4-year Degree in the related field from a recognised tertiary institution
  • South African citizenship and residency within the Umzumbe Municipality
  • Age between 18 and 35
  • Proof of residence signed by a ward councillor must be attached
  • People with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Registration with relevant professional bodies (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Interns will be expected to carry out tasks and projects assigned by their respective supervisors within the department
  • Gain practical knowledge in alignment with their academic background and future career aspirations
  • Contribute positively to the goals and services of Umzumbe Municipality
