The South African Police Service (SAPS) Academy in Philippi is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to fill eight (8) vacancies for Food Service Aid positions. Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Competency in core post functions – Ability to perform duties efficiently.
- Language Proficiency – Fluency in at least two official languages, with English as one of them.
- Citizenship – Must be a South African citizen.
- Education – A Grade 10 qualification will be an advantage.
- Basic Skills – Literacy, numeracy, and communication skills are essential.
- Clean Record – No prior criminal convictions or pending departmental cases.
- Vetting Process – Applicants will undergo security screening and fingerprint verification.
- Additional Skills – Ability to operate basic kitchen machinery and equipment.
- Work Flexibility – Willingness to work extended hours when required.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
Food Preparation & Service – Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments.
Support Functions – Providing general food service support to ensure smooth operations.
Kitchen & Equipment Maintenance – Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and dining areas.
Hygiene Standards – Ensuring a clean, sanitized, and safe working environment.
Dining Hall Setup – Preparing dining halls for meal services.
