A reputable company in Horizon View, Gauteng, is seeking a reliable and experienced Groceries General Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the warehouse equipment and yard, as well as performing general assistant duties as required. The start date for this position is ASAP and the work schedule involves working 8 hours per shift, for 6 shifts per week. The salary for this position is to be confirmed per month.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a Matric certificate, at least 1 year of experience as a general assistant in a warehouse environment, and be fluent in English. The ideal candidate will be able to operate safety-sensitive and heavy equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and flatbed carts, in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury or property damage. They will also be responsible for ensuring the safe storage of all equipment in the yard and removing 3rd party equipment from the warehouse and preparing it for return.
