General assistance work, We are currently seeking a General Worker to join our team in the Cape Town Regional Office. This is a 36-month contract position with a salary of R147,036 per annum.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have an ABET certificate equivalent to Grade 10, good communication skills, and be honest, reliable, and in good health. A valid driver’s license is also required.

You can:

As a General Worker, your main responsibilities will include assisting with the loading, packing, and unloading of assets to the appropriate locations. You will be responsible for moving and transporting assets to the designated destinations as identified by the user departments.

Additionally, you will be in charge of arranging and packing furniture in the relevant storage areas, ensuring that assets are wrapped in appropriate protective material to prevent damage during transportation.

General assistance work

It will be your duty to place assets in requested positions at new locations and to monitor inventory and assets to prevent any loss during the transportation process. You will also be expected to assist with the physical cleaning of stores and assets as needed.
