Objective:
To carry out various cleaning and refuse caddy delivery tasks. These tasks may involve Street Cleaning, Mounding, Broad, Lane Flushing, Corpse Junking, Caddy Deliveries, and other general duties.

Department operations General Workers Responsibilities:
Street Cleaning and Broad:

• Gather all necessary equipment and supplies for the day’s work
• Use a broom and shovel to clean designated areas and pathways, disposing of refuse in bags
• Use a trolley to transport refuse bags to the sidewalk
• Clean all lockers
• Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or injuries to supervisors
• Report complaints and inquiries to supervisors
• Start waste selection (including pavements) in the same area after roads have been swept and cleared
• Pick up waste on one side of the road first, then move to the other side, using appropriate tools (bags and trolleys); clean one side at a time without crossing pathways
• Communicate with the public, service providers, and other department officials to resolve complaints and inquiries promptly
• Retrieve the correct number of bags from storage and distribute them accordingly.

In the designated area, distribute bags to consumers based on their requested services. When collecting refuse bags, arrange them on the trolley to be taken to the mounding point. Ensure that the bag opening faces the road and that the bags are stacked correctly. If any bags break and spill, promptly clean up the area.

Remove all boxes and mound the refuse bags. Retrieve new or replacement lockers from the central stores and load them onto the caddy delivery truck. Before leaving the central stores, inspect and report any damaged lockers. Record the garbage caddy figures in the caddy delivery register. At the place of delivery, unload the new or replacement garbage lockers and collect the damaged ones for exchange. Make sure that guests sign up for the delivery and receive a copy of the delivery report.

Repeat this process until all listed refuse lockers are delivered. Be sure to complete daily tasks and any other duties assigned by the administrator. Pikitup is currently seeking permanent General Workers for various tasks such as street cleaning, stacking, lane flushing, corpse junking, and caddy delivery. The position offers a monthly remuneration of R 9 531,55, including basic payment and benefits. The purpose of the role is to carry out cleaning and refuse caddy delivery tasks as needed.

Department operations General Workers In addition to Street Cleaning, mounding, Broad, Lane Flushing, corpse junking, and/or caddy Deliveries, as well as other general duties will be performed.

Responsibilities
Street Cleaning and Broad.
Gather all necessary materials and equipment for the day’s tasks.
Utilize a broom and shovel to clean the designated area and collect refuse in bags.
Transport the bags of refuse to the pavement using a trolley.
Thoroughly clean all lockers.

Report any safety concerns, issues with equipment, or injuries to the platoon leaders.
Address complaints and inquiries by reporting them to the platoon leaders.
Commence waste selection, including pavements, in the same area once the road has been swept and gutted.
Begin by picking up waste on one side of the road, then move to the other side, utilizing the appropriate tools (bag and trolley). Ensure that all waste is cleaned up one side at a time and avoid crossing thoroughfares.

Department operations General Workers Interact with members of the public, service providers, and officers from other departments to promptly resolve any complaints or inquiries.
Retrieve the correct number of bags from storage and distribute them accordingly.
Familiarize yourself with the designated area.
Distribute bags to customers based on their specific services.
Collect the refuse bags and place them on the trolley for mounding, ensuring that the bag opening faces the road and that the bags are stacked correctly.
Clean up any spillage that occurs due to bag breakage.

Remove the boxes and retrieve new/relief lockers from the central warehouse to load onto the caddy delivery truck. Prior to departure, check for any damaged refuse lockers and report them accordingly. Record all garbage caddy figures in the caddy delivery register. Unload the new/relief garbage lockers at the designated delivery location and collect any damaged garbage caddies in exchange. Load these onto the delivery truck. Ensure that guests subscribe for the delivery and receive a copy of the delivery damage report. Repeat this process until all listed refuse lockers have been delivered. Complete daily tasks as required and carry out any additional tasks assigned by the administrator.
